Jacqueline Cox (born March 16, 1992), professionally known by her stage name J Goddess, is an American rapper & songwriter. Born in Virginia Beach, VA & raised in Chesapeake, OH, Goddess earned public attention after releasing her second mixtape “The Divine Entity” in 2012 which received nearly 20,000 downloads within its first two weeks. J Goddess is a younger female leader in her generation, and consultant striving to lead others to the path of success in e-commerce and arts.

Goddess grew up in a single parent household. Her mother, Misty Scott, worked as a waitress, a customer service rep, & companion caregiver to the elderly during Goddess's youth. Goddess's father, Vincent Cox, was absent throughout most of her childhood. Her parents split up when she was one yrs old, due to her father's infidelity. The few times she saw him as a child were at truck stops, when her father would stop to refuel his truck, rest, or/& eat. Sometimes she'd go to a truck stop to meet him & he'd never show up, leaving her stranded.

Goddess recorded her first mixtape called “The First Chapter” at the age of 14. At age 16, she performed live at New York’s renowned Apollo Theater. In December 2012, she went on to release an infamous second mixtape entitled “The Divine Entity”. In April 2014, Goddess was offered the opportunity to become the face of 'Its Life', an up-and-coming clothing brand. Soon after, she became the first female rapper to be interviewed during a live broadcast on 88.1 FM.

Teaming up with NRKY & Real Mandyngo, Goddess released her single "Al Capone" on June 2014 through England’s Black Rock Records & was aired on the famous RINSE FM in England, which upon its debut reached as far as 5FM in South Africa. In 2015, Goddess was named Featured Artist on Slip n' Slide Records watch list.

Goddess's latest single entitled "Diamonds", produced by Mr. Mike 304, is off of her critically acclaimed album "The Flight". Goddess credits DJ Papito, platinum recording album producers Shakur Green, Steve Mac, Joey Cutless, music executive Aaron Granger, & Louis Falasha of UK's notorious group Killa Instinct for her career advancement & music business knowledge.
